SARA'S CROCHET STORY

Sara is originally from Iran and has been living in Cyprus with her husband and daughter for almost a year. For Sara “this is more than just a cushion”, instead she says it is “all because of my mum who taught me how to work with hooks and wool” from a very young age.
Sara explains “when I make it I remember my mum”. She can’t visit her family in Iran but sends photos of her work to her mother who is happy for her.
Sara is passing on her skills to her four year old daughter who comes and watches her work at the Dignity Centre.
You can buy one of Sara's beautiful cushions at the RefuMade shop here.
